The Observatory works closely with the local health and social care community in the North West, as well as nationally and internationally.

Modelling ageing populations to 2030 study at the London School of Economics and Political Science. This inter-disciplinary group, covering a number of institutions, is investigating the needs and resources of older people to 2030.
Marie Curie Palliative Care Institute Liverpool
The Institute has a core commitment to undertake research in the care of the dying. Their major focus is on developing studies that impact directly on patient care, service organisation and delivery and education and training, with a view to influencing future policy.
National Cancer Research Institute

OMEGA - The National Association for End of Life Care
Aims to promote excellence in care, for people nearing the end of their lives. The Association developed from and is closely aligned with the work of the National Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Centre, but has a broader remit in end of life care, supporting carers, raising awareness and sharing information about a range of end of life issues and bringing people together to share ideas and develop best practice.
