Palliative Care workforce - Specialist Palliative Care (SPC) staff
The National Council for Palliative Care undertake a workforce survey looking at staff working in palliative care in a variety of settings. The most recent data is for 2008. Data is provided on the number of staff from different specialisms working within these environments. ‘SPC’ is used in the analysis to define all staff working in specialist palliative care units. These can either be hospices or specialist palliative care units within hospitals.
